FoTTSA is backing a SAVE OUR WATER - STOP THE PITS rally at Queens Park on March 22
Hello Wymbolwood Beachers !
WBA President Jeff Fredericks has been advised by our member Robert McBride (Director, Federation of Tiny Township Shoreline Associations) that FoTTSA is organizing a SAVE OUR WATER – STOP THE PITS rally in Toronto.
Now this rally is an effort to limit the Teedon Pit expansion of the gravel quarries on Frenchman’s Hill in Tiny, just northwest of Waverley on Hwy 93. This aggregate mining activity is seen as a threat to the purity and clarity of the historically pristine waters in the Alliston Aquifer, and there is similar widespread gravel mining affecting groundwater flows throughout Ontario.
WBA members are encouraged to read the informative pdf attachment from FoTTSA here (announcing the rally), and some links to related information here, including a video, and if it is for you, then register for the rally in the link provided in the attachment.
The rally is planned to convene at:
Queen’s Park in Toronto on March 22, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
If you wish, Rob McBride can be emailed for more information at email@example.com
